DVD Flick is a great authoring program that delivers excellent results, with simple and effective steps although it urgently requires an update , very much reminding convertx to dvd of its interface. His big problem though, is the lack of menu customization, he doesn't even let you customize it by putting the dvd title, or the background photo, which is pretty annoying.
I hope he has updates again, and I hope this menu customization issue will be reviewed as it is the missing icing on the cake to make the program effective and complete. I've used the software for years. The great issue is that, currently, it isn't actively being developed or updated. The V2 revision is faster, but retains persistent bugs from prior versions. Specifically, users can create volumes with menus only once per template, after which continued use of the template returns error 53—something that was supposedly addressed years ago in version 1.
I know it has an options to convert all titles into chapters of a single title, but, somehow, it screws the audio. Even if the audio was OK you'd still be limited to several titles with ONE video for each title or ONE title with several videos, but you couldn't have several titles with several videos in each title. DVD Flick does it. It's beyond me, how a piece of software with so many version updates continues to have such a serious problem, specialy when it's so well known. In fact, this app can natively load and work with over 60 video codecs, 40 audio codecs, 45 file formats file containers , and can also work with all the standard formats for text subtitles.
The user interface of DVD Flick is built around the central video list area where you can add separate videos until the counter at the far left announces the lack of free space on the standard DVD disc.
Each of the added videos can be customized via right-click menu, the videos can be re-arranged using simple tools on the far right, with all the rest of the project management tools being available via large icons on the top of the app window — New Project, Open Project, Save Project, Project Settings, Menu Settings, and Create DVD. It features no advertisements, timed limitation, premium unlocks, or hidden adware or spyware.
